2019-029: Diagnostic for Early Detection of Placenta Accreta Spectrum (PAS)

PAS is a major cause of maternal morbidity and death with up to 50% of pregnancies with PAS undiagnosed before delivery. Outcomes are optimized when accurate diagnosis is made prior to delivery, allowing for advanced surgical planning. A unique panel of plasma proteins were identified for early diagnosis of PAS; namely, anti-thrombin III, PAI-1, soluble Tie2, and soluble VEGF receptor 2.
