The frequency, severity, and risk factors associated with patient-visitor violence against emergency nurses are well documented. Patient-visitor violence has been associated with lower quality measures for units with high frequency and severity of incidents, greater intent to leave the unit/hospital/profession, and PTSD-like symptoms for victims. This survey instrument identifies factors that make emergency nurses feel safe from patient-visitor violence and its supporting constructs. Amanda Wochele Wochela@ccf.org 216-409-5737
