Trabecular Suppression CT Reconstruction w/ MRI Weighting

The augmented reconstruction algorithm accentuates the soft tissue components of bone marrow, allowing direct visualization of the bone marrow and high tissue contrast format and detection of lesions that are occult with conventional CT reconstruction using conventional single energy CT acquisitions. Computed Tomography (CT) Scans are widely used for visceral organ imaging such as monitoring patients with cancer. However, CT imaging of the associated metastatic bone marrow lesions in cancer patients is limited particularly where trabecular bone may obscure the underlying bone marrow and result in missed lesions. This often requires further imaging with other modalities such as MRI and bone scan. US Patent Issued. Clinical studies underway. Sonja O’Malley omalles@ccf.org 216-445-2861
