UIC-2008-054 – Hybrid Modulation of Multiphase Converter

This invention is a multiphase hybrid modulation scheme for the operation of an isolated High Frequency and High Power Direct Power Conversion (DPC) inverter. The invention is unique because it eliminates the Low Pass Filter found in traditional inverters. Currently, conventional converters include a diode rectifier stage which is followed by the Low Pass Filter and a Voltage Source Inverter, (VSI) at the end.
