This videoplethysmograph (VPG) acquisition and analysis system is a streamlined yet multipurpose vital signs monitoring tool. The presented non-contact cardiovascular and respiratory monitor measures vital signs using digital color video of a patient’s skin. Blood absorbs visible light more than skin in approximately the 500 – 600 nm range.
